Team Spotlight: Dr. Ketam Hamdan, Director of Mental Health

1. What’s a game-changing idea your team has brought to life?

Dr. Ketam Hamdan, Mental Health Director: A game-changing initiative my team at Annisa launched is Wellbeing Advisinga breakthrough model for individuals who may not feel ready for therapy but still deserve support. It blends spiritual care, emotional guidance, nervous system education, and real-world problem-solving. This year, we also invested in a more advanced brain scan machine that delivers deeper, more informative reports, enhancing the precision of our care. And we began learning photobiomodulation, an emerging light-based treatment that complements our neuro-based healing approach. These innovations are expanding how we serve our community, meeting people where they are and offering tools that truly transform lives.

2. What major milestones has your team reached this quarter/year?

Dr. Ketam Hamdan: One of the major milestones our team at Annisa achieved this year was seeing three of our associate clinicians complete their hours and become fully licensed therapists. It’s a proud moment that reflects our commitment to developing high-quality, trauma-informed providers from within our community. Alongside that we trained three neurofeedback clinicians, and expanded access to brain-based, holistic care. These aren’t just wins for us—they’re game-changers for the people we serve.

3. What’s one accomplishment your team is especially proud of?

Dr. Ketam Hamdan: One accomplishment we’re especially proud of at An-Nisa is our commitment to consistent, weekly team meetings. These aren’t just check-ins, they’re spaces for collective growth. We unify our clinical approach, consult on complex cases, rotate leadership through guided meditations, and stay current with the latest advancements in trauma therapy and neuroscience. It’s created a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and heart-centered care that directly benefits our clients.
